1. How did you connect to this project? What did you like the most?
I liked watching the movies. Do I really need to explain? Video is an entertaining and engaging vector of information transmission.
2. How was this project difficult? What was most challenging? Describe a moment when you had to persevere through something difficult.
I usually have trouble working with other people but I did better than I thought I would in this project. Designing the set was tough. I spent a large amount of time designing and estimating a cost for a piece of the set. I had to repeatedly go back to the drawing board in order to lower the cost. Unfortunately, this piece of the set was never built.
3. What did you learn about yourself during this project?
I learned that I work better on one thing for an extended period of time than working on multiple things for shorter periods of time; I work better in tunnel-vision mode, focusing on an objective and working to fulfill or meet said objective. For instance, I missed auditions for roles in the play because I was busy working on the piece of the set mentioned above.
4. Why, 400 years later, does the English-speaking world still gravitate/celebrate the works of William Shakespeare?
Shakespeare invented over 1,700 words, many of which are widely used today; the words gloomy, lapse, and obscene are good examples. More can be found here: http://www.pathguy.com/shakeswo.htm
His work is also quite beautiful; it is good enough to be remembered. The poet's reputation is also quite immense and will linger in the public's imagination for quite some time.
